Clip n Climb, Preston – Fun for the whole family

What is Clip n Climb?

A fantastic indoor climbing centre, Clip n Climb is so much fun for the whole family! With 20 different climbing walls, you’re spoilt for choice!

When you arrive, you are taken into a briefing room where you are put into a harness and given appropriate safety advice. Then you are free to go climb!

A member of staff will safely clip you onto the wall of your choice – some of them are harder than they look!

How much does it cost?

We decided to go to the ‘family climb‘ session so that we could all have a go. These sessions are £8.50 per person and must include 1 child aged 2-4 but older siblings are also welcome to climb. At the moment, these sessions run Wednesday to Friday at 3.30pm and Saturday/Sunday at 9am however check the Clip n Climb website for full up to date information.

Can you fall!?

You are safely clipped into a harness which gently lowers you to the ground when you let go. I’ll be honest and say I found it a bit nerve wracking the first time however after the first time I couldn’t wait to do it again! It’s addictive!

The staff were really helpful and friendly, they had little rubber ducks which they placed for Jessie to try and reach on the climbing walls which I thought was a great idea to keep her attention.

It makes a great family morning (or afternoon!) out as there are challenges suitable for all ages and abilities. In fact I think me and Matt might have had more fun than Jessie!

What if I don’t want to climb?

There is even a soft play area for under 4’s and a lovely cafe area overlooking the arena for anyone who just wants to sip a coffee and observe!

What’s the parking situation?

It was easy to park with plenty of free spaces right outside, which is always a plus – I hate it when I go somewhere and there’s no parking!

Would you go again?

Overall I would honestly rate our experience as 10 out of 10 and it is somewhere we shall definitely be returning. It would also be great for a rainy day when you want the kids to burn off some energy. I can highly recommend!

How do I book?

You can book online via their website and they also have a Facebook page with up to date information on sessions and special events.

We were kindly given free entry into Clip n Climb in return for a blog post & video of our experience. I will however definitely be paying to return- it was brilliant!
